The cover is designed beautifully. It presents two women, one with a beautiful face, long hair and another scar on her face. The women look like. The title is ‘Daughters of Char Chinar’ which is the story of identical twin sisters.
Char Chinar is a place where being beautiful is a curse for young women. Nafisa and Meher the spellbinding, beautiful identical twin sisters. The twin sisters were brought up by their mother relatives as they were abandoned by Kazi at Birth. Kazi Shah, son of Qutab Shah, the influential leader of the Bagha clan. Everything is going tremendous both the sisters build a secret world of their own, educating themselves and even finding like-minded suitors in a land where love is forbidden. Until Kazi Shah kills a man. The Jirga Council demands a virgin to atone for his crime. Kazi abducts Nafisa and gives her to the wronged tribe as compensation.
In a nutshell, the author has taken up a sensitive issue about the primitive justice system, women empowerment, and how women are treated in society. The characters have been vividly crafted. Readers can find the story heartbreaking and can feel the character’s pain.
